About Mike Florance


New to Bayleys, but not to the world of commercial real estate, Mike Florance has worked in the construction industry for 18 years; launching his own construction company at age 21, working as the company manager for 12 years, and as a construction manager for 5 years, Mike has years of experience managing and delivering massive projects, including working on one of the biggest construction projects in the world; a multibillion dollar offshore gas processing facility.

Most recently involved with development, sales, and leasing of commercial real estate Mike has a passion for the industry and finds building relationships and closing deals the most exciting aspect of the business. With years of experience managing and being personally responsible for the delivery of multimillion dollar construction projects, Mike has strong negotiation skills, the ability to relate to people of all walks of life, and a genuine dedication to achieve results that exceed his client’s expectations.

Mike’s transition to a career in real estate was a natural one, and the decision to choose Bayleys was easy – “for me, the decision was based on my observation of the market share and my own investigations into the workplace cultures around town. Keen to play an active role in his community; he is a 7 year member of the Master Builders Association and has helped build and donate the Tui Te Ora healthcare facility to the Gisborne DHB during that time. On a personal level, he has two little lads and an awesome wife beside him that he couldn’t be prouder of, and if he isn’t at home with his family or working on their own house build, then you’ll find him surfing, snowboarding, playing volleyball, or hunting both on land and in the water!
